Our Work

The Open Education Association was created to strengthen and coordinate open education at a national level. It focuses on building shared infrastructure, expanding visibility, and advancing strategic initiatives that support sustainable, scalable open education work.

Guided by community input, our work centers on increasing visibility in influential spaces, expanding investment and funding pathways, strengthening professional recognition, and responding strategically to barriers that limit openness. These priorities are already shaping our programming—from national visibility efforts and targeted webinars to curated resources and emerging mentorship and recognition initiatives.

This is an active, member-informed effort to ensure open education is not only sustained, but strengthened for the future.

Working Groups

The Open Education Association’s Working Groups are time-bound, member-driven groups designed to advance key program goals and expand opportunities for members to contribute meaningfully to the association’s work. Each group has a defined scope and deliverables, and all are welcome to follow along, join sessions, and stay connected.
