You can join the Open Education Association by completing the membership registration form that corresponds to the membership tier of your choice. No matter which tier is selected all members receive the same benefits. Learn more about membership by visiting the website.
The association offers three paid tiers allowing individuals to select the rate that best fits their needs. All tiers include the same benefits. Current membership rates are available on our website.
Yes. You can join and seek reimbursement from your employer or contact us to arrange payment by invoice. Note that if using institutional/sponsored funds, you must join at the Standard Tier or above (Discount rates do not apply).
Once you become a member, your membership belongs to you for the duration of the membership period, regardless of whether you change jobs.
No. Open Education Association membership is for individuals, not organizations. However, we welcome organizations and institutions to sponsor membership for their workers. We are happy to arrange invoicing for groups of 5 or more members. For more information, contact us at contact@opened.org.
One of the great benefits of Open Education Association membership is that it belongs to the individual. If you move to another institution or role, your membership follows you. Dues are paid on an annual basis, so your membership will remain active for the remainder of your membership period, even if you change jobs. As long as you keep up your dues and remain in good standing, you can stay a member for life!

Your member profile contains fields that support both the Public Directory and the Member Directory.
- Public Directory information can include: name, professional bio, photo, profession, education, and awards
- Member Directory information can include: name, professional bio, photo, profession, job title, areas of expertise, state, presentation portfolio, education, and awards
