National Summit Organizing Committee

This fall, the Open Education Association invites the open education field to collaborate on a process to select national priorities and develop shared plans to advance them over the next three years. The focus will be on challenges currently facing higher education leaders and how open education can be a larger part of the solution. The process will kick off at a webinar on August 12 and continue throughout the fall through listening sessions organized in collaboration with organizations and communities across the field.

The culmination of the process will be the National Open Education Summit, which will be held on November 10-12 in Chicago. This invitation-only, in-person event will convene ~150 representatives drawn from across the open education field to review outputs of the listening sessions, finalize a set of priorities, and begin building plans to advance them. More details about the event and a chance to ask questions will be provided on the August 12 webinar.

The Organizing Committee will work between August and November to help ensure the attendees reflect the breadth of the field and that the agenda makes good use of the three days.
