Ying Liu, FHEA (Fellowship of Higher Education Academy)

Dr Ying Liu, FHEA, is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton. Her work focuses on open education, interactive digital learning, and the development of accessible educational resources for biomedical and health professions education. She previously led the OpenStax Microbiology Ancillaries (OSMA) project in California, and currently leads Project IMMUNO, an initiative developing interactive immunology learning resources using H5P and AI-enhanced illustrations. Her interests include student co-creation, open pedagogy, and exploring how emerging technologies can support the development and reuse of high-quality OER.
