Professional Bio

Dr. Tiffani Tijerina is an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She holds a Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology from Georgia State University. Her research is focused on open education, open pedagogy, social justice, design justice, instructional design, emerging technology, AI writing, and the intersections of all. She is a two-time winner of Open Education Awards for Excellence (2025, 2022) for her edited collection, Pedagogy Opened: Innovative Theory and Practice, and her open textbook, Open Technical Communication.
