Professional Bio

Linda Miles (she/her) is the Open Educational Resources Librarian at Michigan State University. She has worked in various roles at the Hostos Community College Library (CUNY)—including six years as OER Librarian, as Public Services/UX Librarian at Yeshiva University, and as a librarian at an arts education organization. She often presents on teamwork and other topics in open education publishing and on informal leadership and career development for librarians. Linda’s publications include How to Thrive as a Library Professional: Achieving Success and Satisfaction (Libraries Unlimited, 2020), and the chapter, "Combating Burnout: Positive/Transformational Leadership and Organizational Culture" (ACRL Press, 2022. She holds an MLS from St. John’s University and a PhD in theatre history/criticism from the University of Texas at Austin.
