Professional Bio
Hans Aagard is currently the OER Research & Innovation Consultant in eCampus Center at Boise State University. His goal is to support faculty as they discover, adopt, adapt, or create open materials.
In that role he creates and facilitates synchronous and asynchronous workshops, a rigorous open textbook grant/workshop series, and consults with faculty. He also participates in research efforts around OER. He's working to help identify and create Z-degrees at Boise State in coordination with other institutions in Idaho.
Before working in the OER space, Hans worked in instructional design in online learning for ten years. Hans holds a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Purdue University.
