National Priorities for Open Education

Open education is more relevant to the problems facing higher education than it has ever been, yet too often it isn't in the rooms where decisions are being made. Getting into those rooms starts with the problems leaders are already trying to solve.

The National Priorities for Open Education process asks the field to make open education a larger part of solving open education’s most pressing challenges. By identifying national priorities connected to those leaders and policymakers, and building action plans that bridge them, open education can have an even greater impact in the years ahead.

Everything culminates at an in-person national summit, where representatives from across the country will collectively choose a final set of priorities based on the field’s input and begin developing plans to advance them.
